Kony 2012

My blog might not reach many people. My voice might not be loud. My actions, too far away from the battlefield to change the outcome of the fight. But if this message reaches someone who never knew about Kony or child soldiers or Uganda, then it will have served its purpose. Not every soldier gets the chance to fight; some of us get to be the drummer boy.

At half an hour, it is a long video. But so are Gilmore Girls, House and pretty much any of the drivel that passes for television today. If I can spend one hour being entertained, I can spend half an hour learning how to make a difference in the lives of the children who are kidnapped, raped and forced into war.

Si vis pacem para bellum.
